The cost of setting up a network of agents compared to building brick-and-mortar branches is minimal. An agent is trained to administer the bank's Mobile Financial Services. With only a small stand and a terminal, the agent can easily reach the end-user. The proximity between the agent and the end-user is key for successfully including end-user in the formal banking economy.

 
 

With TagPay, an agent can easily and securely enroll an end-user. The TagPay administrator can set the required levels of KYC and control the process.

Agent-enabled branchless banking services typically include: Customer registration, cash-in (accepting customer cash deposits to load accounts), cash-out (customer withdraws cash from his or her account), bill payment, airtime top-up, account management, and cash remittances. Anyone with a cell phone can conveniently and securely access agent services.

Agents can be segmented into groups or hierarchies and attributed roles and transaction limits based on the group they belong to. TagPay has the functions required to manage agent commissions.

AN Ecosystem built around the Mobile wallet

The TagPay platform allows anyone with a cell phone to conveniently and securely store, send, and spend funds using a Mobile Wallet. Funds are loaded on the Mobile Wallet via various sources including money transfers, salaries and pensions, bank and card accounts, or direct cash deposits. Money in a TagPay Mobile Wallet can be used to pay bills, make purchases in stores and on the web, or transfer funds to others. All existing cell phones can be used without prior enrollment or special apps.

Every digital banking solution is run by a bank, or partners with a bank, for regulation purposes.

It is possible for end-users to use the ATMs of the bank branches to do cash-out.

TagPay is offered under several business models. TagPay is committed to providing fair and transparent pricing and can offer the TagPay platform under revenue sharing, flat fee, license per user, or other models.

Hosting options

The platform can be installed locally or can be hosted in the cloud and managed by TagPay. A minimum installation architecture includes a production server as well as a back-up beta server for test and upgrade validation.

Partner terminals

TagPay is compatible with all of Ingenico's terminals.

TagPay can be easily set up on Android devices. TagPay also works with Famoco and Mobiwire terminals.
